The Future's Wide Open

It's such a change for me to suddenly have so much free time. With the children in school now, I've got 6 hours to myself each day. I'm discovering that those hours can be chewed up quite easily by trivial exercises, like cleaning house, sorting through photo albums, sitting in front of the computer on Videosift etc.

I'm trying to resist letting these activities become time suckers for me. I really want to use this time in a productive way. Now's my chance to change course and either get some different skills, or do something entirely different from homeschooling, teaching, home-making.

I'm not relinquishing my nurturing role, just want to grab life by the tail and hang on for the ride.
