Energy Work

I'm still buzzing from the experience of hosting a Meetup group tonight, I had to leave a post about it to release some of the buzz.

I'm the organiser of a Meetup group, called Brisbane Energy Healers Meetup, which I started late last year and which had its first meeting for the year, tonight. When we first moved to Brisbane, I realised that with Brian away and me at home, homeschooling the children, I wouldn't get much opportunity to meet like-minded people, so I decided to start a group myself.

Four people came tonight, two of which do Reiki and the other two EFT and spiritual healing, amongst other modalities. It was great to discuss these therapies and we also got some practice in, with three of us giving the other two a Reiki treatment. It is really cool when a few people do Reiki on one person. The energy really is intensified. At one point it seemed like there were many more people in the room and I realised that there must have been a few guides helping out as well.

I know when I get acupuncture that after the therapist leaves the room, it still feels like people are moving about the table. I'm sure there are some spirit acupuncture masters that like to make sure everything is going well.

We will meet again next month and we've drawn up a list of topics we want to cover in the meetings, as well as healing modalities we can pass on to each other. I'm so pleased I set it up. I realise that energy work is a big part of who I am, but because it's not the kind of thing that I often get to talk about in my daily life, it's great to have a peer group to relate to.

I am excited about possible opportunities this will open for me.
